Makita 12V Battery Connector

One of the most common issues with TLs are issues with the battery pack and power to the unit...batteries popping loose, corrosion from water, etc. etc.  Another common failure is the on/off switch.  The Makita 12V Battery Connector mod replaces the on/off switch with a rechargeable Makita 12V battery.  Remove the battery to turn the unit off and plug the battery in to turn it on.   

Indicator on battery tells you the level of charge.  Battery charges easily last months.

WARNING: There are some older TL units where the connector nuts do interfere with the internal structure.   Filling a ~1/8" clearance indent in the mid-tier of the internal structure resolves the issue.
